The dedication of the volunteer vets who come to treat the animals for free is truly inspiring. The love and compassion shown here are unmatched. Thank you for all you do!
Just finished 3 wonderful months volunteering here, definitely recommend the place. Though be careful as you may have your hearts stolen by at least 1 of the dogs! Joking aside, this place is great; a compassionate owner, lovely and caring staff and really making a difference in the local area. Sangkhlaburi animal sanctuary houses a vet clinic, which is free for customers. Whilst also having 23 or so resident dogs. The sanctuary prides itself on caring for their animals, so whilst other sanctuaries may house many more animals, quality is definitely more important than quantity here. Can't wait to return some day (hopefully soon!)
I have volunteered as a shelter vet here 3 times now and thoroughly loved it. The team are all so wonderfully friendly and do an amazing job of looking after all the shelter animals, and helping when local animals need treatment. The sanctuary is always looking for volunteers to help - and you will gain a great experience with memories to last a life time!
Outstanding ! The Sangklaburi Animal Sanctuary is a true gem for rescued animals and the local community. They provide exceptional daily care for around 25 dogs at the sanctuary, but they also provide help to strays outside. Their donation-based vet clinic is a lifeline for locals who can't afford veterinary care elsewhere. It's the only clinic in town, the closet one being hours of drive from there. They do outreach missions, having spaying/neutering programs and vaccination/prevention drives, helping to control the stray population. I adopted my dog from there. The Sangklaburi Animal Sanctuary makes a huge difference in a challenging environment. If you're looking for a truly worthy animal welfare organization to support, look no further. They go above and beyond for animals in need. They are superheroes.
I am Dr Sohaib and been to Sangkhlaburi animal sanctuary three times as a shelter vet. It’s the best satisfactory experience ever. You can help the needy community by treating their animals. SAS has a nice donation based animal clinic having all soft tissue surgery equipments, ultrasound and good basic medication to practice for vets and vet nurses. Highly recommended for vets, vet nurses and animal lovers. Whenever I will get Holidays I will just prefer to stay SAS. Denise Emsley, Director of SAS is such a sweetheart and nice person I have ever met in life and the other staff of sanctuary is so helpful and friendly.
