Siam Rehab

Een fijne kleine community in het noorden van Thailand, waar je door professionals begeleid wordt terwijl je meer leert over verslaving en de gevolgen. Aan de hand van progressie- groepen en CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy) leer je bewust te raken van het ziektebeeld verslaving. Tijdens het verblijf geen omkijken naar de dagelijkse beslommeringen maar de focus op een gezond lichaam en helder functionerende geest. Doormiddel van mindfulness, yoga, art-, cbt therapy en peer recognition krijg je tools aangereikt om een beter en gezonder leefstijl aan te wennen. Onder begeleiding van verschillende counselors die levensverhaal ervaringsdeskundig zijn wordt je geholpen om grip op je leven terug te krijgen. Daarnaast ligt de focus om ook fysiek aan te sterken. Samen met een personal trainer wordt je uitgedaagd om weer goed in shape te komen en te werken aan je conditie. Ook is er de mogelijkheid om mee te trainen met een kampioen in het muay-thai boksen. Om je van de spierpijn te ontzien heb je 1x per week een stevige thai massage. Gedurende het verblijf word je geheel ontzorgt en kun je focussen op je herstel. Het eten wordt goed verzorgt door een vriendelijke kok. Je was en kamer worden verzorgd en ook wordt de omgeving dagelijks onderhouden. De medewerkers zijn alle erg vriendelijk en uiterst behulpzaam.

Having completed a program at Siam rehabilitation I'm back at home with the tools I've been searching for to enable me to remain in sustained recovery after 20 years of addiction. My journey the real recovery started with contact over the phone to the owners of Siam, Mint and Wade, their honesty and genuine kindness reassured me that Siam was the right place to go. The programme was for me was a perfect blend, both very challenging and with ample free time in the surrounds of beautiful hills with awesome Thai style bungalow/villa private accommodation. The housekeeping staff are all super friendly, with rooms cleaned daily and laundry service, it honestly didn't feel like rehab at times. Having mobiles and wifi in all free time was also a bonus enabling clients to stay in regular contact with family and friends. I loved the science based approach to recovery and the counsellors bring their own experiences and success stories to the table to share and assist with the clients, they are more than honest and really good at what they do. Shout out to Earl you legend😀 The emphasis on physical health being a major part of recovery is backed up by a world-class gym, headed by Daeng and Jump, their one on one sessions as well as group sessions are awesome along with having enough free time to leave Siam in amazing shape. The health based approach is also backed up by the amazing food prepared by chef Sine and his staff, every meal time presents a buffet Style spread of western/Thai cuisine, I can honestly say I miss the food. Lastly clients all get the option to enjoy authentic Thai massage and a weekly outing to some awe inspiring sites, you can also go shopping on this day to a huge Tesco mart to get all the luxuries you are used to at home for the week. To wrap it up all I can say is a huge heartfelt thankyou to Wade and Mint and all their amazing staff at Siam, I can't say my time there was always easy, it's rehab, but I can say I am so very glad to have put my faith in the whole program they run there, I gained enormous and invaluable insights and tools to keep me going forward and in sustained recovery, one day at a time 🩵🩵🙏🏼🙏🏼

Nice place, learned a lot about myself and behaviour. Good counseling, friendly people, nice nature, good food. Happy i made this decision.
