Embrace Sober House

I loved this sober living facility and everything about it. It’s not just a place you stay at to be sober, it really just makes you want to stay clean and carry on a good life, showing you how good you can feel in life without using. Fun is an understatement, I loved how there’s so much to do and it’s hard to be bored, they provide with daily activities or you can choose something to do in your own interest, no one bothers you. The staff is great and it starts with that, Henk, Chris and Mark always make sure everyone is happy and comfortable before themselves and it shows the commitment to the program. All the counselors are great to work with, Phil really helped me in my recovery and got me well equipped returning home. Next comes the other staff adding on to the experience and always making sure it fits everyone and you feel equal with the rest. I’m definitely going to come back, whether I’m not comfortable being back home and don’t want to relapse or I just want to get away and regenerate, I’ll be coming back

I didn't know what to expect upon arriving at Embrace. I needed secondary treatment after primary. All I knew was I needed a safe environment... Embrace offered me that safe environment plus so much more. I met some amazing people... the staff... incredibly supportive and knowledgeable. Seeing things in myself that I couldn't see. I've been to other sober houses in the past but what puts Embrace ahead of the rest is the attention given to my behaviors, my growth and my recovery. Gently pushed and motivated to try new things, to get out of my comfort zone into the 'growth zone'.. The support i received at Embrace during early recovery allowed me the time and space to get to know myself... to learn who I am in recovery. I didn't feel like a number... I felt a part of a family. I was surrounded by healthy people serious about their recovery and that energy rubbed off on me. That is what Embrace is. A family, a community of people striving for personal growth and helping each other along the way. The extended community beyond Embrace was not something i was expecting. Ex-clients and people connected to Embrace through strong recovery and community coming to the Embrace BBQ every Sunday and helping me see that not only recovery was possible but that I could be apart of something.... It gave me that sense of belonging i needed. There's no opportunity to get bored at Embrace... Every day there are activities ranging from Football games, cooking classes, onsite yoga sessions, art groups, badminton, ping pong tournaments, excursions, soundbowl healing, Buddhism teaching classes, onsite quizzes, hikes, bike rides, go-karting, kayaking, bootcamps, CrossFit, amazing markets and so much more. The location offers lovely mountain views, quiet surroundings but not far from shopping malls and amazing restaurants... There is a wide variety of counselors available as well. Each with their own skillset and so approachable.. I feel like i was spoilt for choice. Embrace goes to any length to ensure clients are comfortable and settled. If i had a problem i never felt like my concerns or requests fell on deaf ears. Not once. I found myself at Embrace. I cant recommend them highly enough. Thank you Embrace.

I stayed at Embrace Sober House for two months after primary treatment, it is an exceptional facility and I would highly recommend it.

I had three wonderful months at Embrace. A place where they prioritize the clients' safety when you start your steps into reality from primary treatment. I wouldn't be where I am right now if it wasn't for Embrace. You can't stress recovery, you have to find your triggers and learn how to deal with them. Embrace offers a great safety net when you're on that journey. There is so much love at Embrace, the staff always looks out for the clients best interests and. I have made friends for life thanks to the months I was a client there. If you have the opportunity to come to Embrace, take it, it has changed my life forever!🙏

Embrace was the most important part in my recovery solidfiying after being in primary treatment. Coming in to recovery in primary treatment is like learning how to ride a bike again. We get cocky and think we know it all, but the roads are still blurry and our balance completely off after exiting the bubble of rehab. I never realised how important it would be, but secondary treatment, and Embrace specifically, gives you the stabilisers to learn to ride solo again, day by day. We find new pathways we didn't know existed, new people to ride with, and more importantly, learning how to enjoy life on life's terms. The staff are amazing, I could not fault them one bit. It's a wonder house for recovering addicts run very smoothly by recovering addicts with decades of experience. Bill, Henk, and Mark were supportive during various decision making points that I was there and helped to guide me and offer advice every step of the way. Manao, Phil, Val and Maggie too. There is always someone on hand to talk to about anything. It was a family! I left having accomplished far more than I had planned to. I didn't know I would be settling in Chiang Mai but my experience there has opened up a world of opportunities, and I am truly grateful to be able to continue my journey with all the friends of Embrace as I walk forward on my own two feet.
